Practical Nursing Program (PN)

The Program consists of 1350 hours of classroom and clinical coursework over a 12-month duration. Upon successful accomplishment of the program, the graduates will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) to obtain their license as part the requirement for employment as a practical nurse.

Program's Outcomes & Objectives

Students will be able to:

•Utilizing critical thinking skills for clinical judgment, decision-making, and clinical reasoning, which result in safe patient care and effective therapeutic interventions while strictly adhering PN scope of practice.

•Indicative of empathetic care and promoting ethical-based good health for individuals, families, and society regardless of ethnicity, cultural differences, religious and social beliefs.

•Adhering to approved standards for care and safety values equally for agonizing and communal environments while respecting the set boundaries of an ethical and legal framework.

•Using leadership and management skills to utilize human, technical, and physical resources in a cost-saving and safe way without compromising the quality of care.

•Efficient reporting and communicating with families as well as the concerning healthcare team by exhibiting a responsible attitude and a sense of integrity.
 

Admission Requirements and Procedures

The admission requirements and procedures for the Practical Nursing (PN) program are explained below. Candidates who want to appear in the course must read these details before applying. It must be ensured that the application for the program will be accepted only if all the required documentation and other prerequisites are fulfilled.

Al Allied Health Training wants all candidates to make it clear that the administration may change the admission requirements and procedures in the future without prior notice. Applicants must abide by the most recent updates regarding admission requirements and procedures. The candidate for the PN program is required to:

Attend an information session

A one-time information session will be arranged to let the applicant learn about the program in detail. This session is mandatory for all candidates to attend. Applicant will get to know the perspective of a nursing career, the program that the school is going to conduct, curricula, school policies, admission, application rudiments, and other information needed.

Schedule an interview

To gather information, the assigned staff of the administration will schedule interviews with the applicant.  After conducting the interview, the administration will decide whether a candidate should proceed with the next phase of the selection process.

The candidate will have to fulfill the following requirements to confirm their eligibility for the program after:

•Make sure the application is complete in all aspects before submission.

•Pay a non-refundable registration fee of $150 along with the application.

• Take an entrance exam with a passing score of 50% or higher. The applicant can receive exam schedules and other   information   from the administrator's office.

•All participants of the program must obtain a Level II Background Check along with a Drug Screening Test.

•Proof of Age: Applicants are required to provide proof of their age (must be 18 years old or older at the start of the course}.

•Proof of high school completion is required to be submitted. This can be an official high school transcript, college-level credits transcripts, or GED certificate.

•Applicants must prove they are US citizens, Alien residence. They are required to provide proof of residence i.e., State-issued I.D, Legal Alien Card, Social Security, Driver's License.

•Prior to Clinical Rotation student must have proof of current physical examination carried out by a licensed healthcare provider that describes the applicant as physically and mentally fit for the program, and also

•Proof of immunization is mandatory to make available. MMR (Vaccines or Titers) Tetanus Diphtheria (TDAP) Vaccine, Hepatitis B Series (Vaccines or Titers), Varicella (Vaccines or Titers), Influenza vaccines amidst flu season, 2-Step Mantoux test or chest X-ray, and Covid-19 Vaccines and Booster.

Readmission Policy

Readmission to the Practical Nursing program will be considered on an individual basis. Student must notify the administrator of a desire to return to the program in writing. AlAHT will consider the readmission if:

•Applicant meets all program requirements effective at time of readmission.

•Applicant demonstrates financial responsibility by having his/her account paid-in-full prior to readmission

•Applicant meets all admission requirements regarding the physical examination, vaccinations, background check and drug screening. Student will be considered for  readmission depending on availability of an opening in the program. There will be a time limit of one calendar year from admission to readmission unless there are extenuating circumstances.
